Green Key is the international sustainability certification for businesses in the tourism and recreation sector. The Green Key certificate means that a hotel does significantly more in terms of environmental policy than required by laws and regulations in the areas of sustainable hotel and restaurant policy, gas, water and energy savings, CO2 reduction, and waste separation.
At Hotel Central, we are much more than just a place to stay; we are a part of ’s-Hertogenbosch, and have been since 1905. Our vision is to make a positive contribution to our beautiful world wherever possible, both socially and ecologically. Led by Tom Rademaker, the face behind the fifth generation, we are committed to sustainability and social involvement.
We believe in socially responsible — local — entrepreneurship and a positive working environment. With us, there is room for feedback and opportunities for personal development. We support not only our team but also the wider community. Flexible working hours for students, training budgets, and hiring people at a disadvantage in the labor market contribute to a diverse and inclusive working environment.
Our commitment to environmentally friendly service is reflected in reducing CO2 emissions, waste separation, and water conservation. We involve all employees in these activities, making everyone aware of the impact of their work.
Sustainability is part of the family DNA. As the “Living Room of Den Bosch,” we connect and facilitate local initiatives and charities. Organizations can, for example, use our meeting rooms free of charge or at a discount. In this way, we contribute to a pleasant city and region.
We are anything but idle and stay informed about the latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) guidelines, actively sharing sustainable knowledge with the team and stakeholders.
Welcome to the world of Hotel Central, where responsibility and hospitality go hand in hand. For more information, read our CSR statement and the website of Green Key.
