At home in the heart of 's-Hertogenbosch
Experience Brabant at its best from Golden Tulip Hotel Central, in the heart of the provincial capital of Brabant. Beautifully situated on the Market of 's-Hertogenbosch. You really can't stay more centrally.
Wonderful day or weekend away
In addition to a lot of hospitality (the city has been voted "Most Hospitable City of the Netherlands" several times), 's-Hertogenbosch offers countless other reasons for a wonderful day or weekend away. From historical buildings - with the most famous being the incomparable St. John's Cathedral - to great walking and shopping streets and the newest cultural hotspot De Tramkade.
So much to do
You can sail the Binnendieze, but just as easily visit Design Museum Den Bosch and the Noordbrabants Museum. Or catch a movie at the Verkadefabriek. Fancy an activity? The choices are legion: from Jeroen Boschtocht to cooking workshops and from bike tours to pub quizzes.
So much to taste
Of course, it starts with the one and only Bossche Bol (the one from Jan de Groot). Fancy some more goodies? You literally stumble over the most delicious restaurants, pubs and – if they say so themselves – the best terrace street in the Netherlands (Korte Putstraat); this is the capital of Burgundian Brabant. One more tip: be sure to indulge yourself in Cé, our own brasserie.
And so easily accessible
Due to its central location, our hotel in Den Bosch is very easy to reach. By car, you can drive directly to the parking garage De Tolbrug (opposite the hotel), where you can park as a hotel guest on the bottom floor at a reduced rate. Or use the transferium and take the free bus to our hotel. You can also moor in the passenger harbour of 's-Hertogenbosch by boat, from where you can walk to the hotel in 8 minutes. If you come by train, you can walk from 's-Hertogenbosch Centraal to Hotel Central in 11 minutes. TIP: Are you about to visit the city centre? Then check the crowd meter just before your visit whether it is wise to come to the city centre.
Take a detour from Hotel Central
The nearest smoking area is within walking distance.
The Waterpoort building is part of the first wall of the Fortifications and borders the Herman Moerkerkplein, named after the artist Herman Moerkerk, who was born in 's-Hertogenbosch. There is a bronze statue group that was made in 1992 by the artist couple Jean and Marianne Bremers. The peeing naked boy Dieske sits on a column, he forms a fountain. Next to the column are a young man with a lute and a young woman smelling a flower in her hand, on the other side of the fountain a jester. According to a folk tale from the 15th century, a boy is said to have noticed hostile Gelderlanders while peeing in the Dieze and then successfully raised the alarm.
