Activities? Feel like Den Bosch

06/11/2026

Whether you want to hike through vast nature reserves, explore special places, or let yourself be surprised culinarily, there is always something to experience. Below are a number of activities you really won’t want to miss no matter what.

Walking & Cycling – A quick escape from the city

Feel like leaving the hustle and bustle behind? Just outside the city center you’ll find beautiful walking and cycling routes through nature reserves such as the MoerputtenBossche Broek and the Kanaalpark. Here you can enjoy flower-rich hay meadows and grasslands, soothing panoramic views and lots of fresh air. Highly recommended: the walking routes by De Paadjesmakers, which lead you past surprising places.

Boating – Den Bosch from the water

The Binnendieze is the beating heart of the city. A boat tour through this centuries-old water system takes you beneath historic buildings and lets you experience Den Bosch in a unique way. Want something truly special? Combine the boat tour with a workshop in making Bossche Bollen or sausage rolls and taste the city as you discover it.

Golf – A day at Bernardus Golf

Looking for a sporting challenge? In Cromvoirt, just outside Den Bosch, you’ll find Bernardus Golf: one of Europe’s leading golf courses. With an impressive 18-hole championship course, host of the Dutch Open in 2021, 2022 and 2023, Bernardus offers an exclusive experience. Even if you’re not a member, you can become part of this special golf community here through a day membership.

Museums – Art and design under one roof

In Den Bosch’s museum quarter, modern art and history come together. The Design Museum Den Bosch and the Noordbrabants Museum are located in a series of historic and modern buildings around an atmospheric courtyard garden. The changing exhibitions and permanent collections make for an incredibly enjoyable day out!

Vincent van Gogh – The master close to home

The influence of Brabant on the painter Vincent van Gogh, who was also born here, is unmistakable. The Noordbrabants Museum offers an extensive permanent exhibition about his early artistry and his connection with the Brabant landscape. Original paintings, letters and animations bring his world to life and provide a unique insight into his artistic development.

Historical highlights – Back in time

Den Bosch breathes history. St. John’s Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece from the 14th and 15th centuries, is one of the city’s icons. Climb the tower for a spectacular view. The historic city hall on the Markt and a boat trip along the fortifications also give you a glimpse into the rich past of the Brabant capital.
